Butter and Brown Sugar Squash

This is one of our families favorite squash side dishes. You can eat it with almost anything…steaks, grilled chicken, pork chops, whatever your heart desires🧡.

Ingredients:
1 Delicata or Acorn Squash
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp brown sugar

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F
2. Cut squash in half lengthwise to form little boats. Remove seeds from halves and place face down on a parchment lined baking sheet.
3. Bake in preheated oven for 35-45 minutes until fork tender.
4. Remove from oven and turn squash so they are cut side up. Place 1 Tbsp of butter in each half. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly between two halves.
5. Return squash to oven and bake for 5 min more until butter is melted. Remove from oven, let cool slightly. Stir butter and brown sugar mixture into the squash and serve. You can double, triple or quadruple the recipe easily!
